Brought my famous seven layer dip to Thanksgiving and my uncle thought it was a candle

I showed up to my aunt's place in Portland with my glass dish wrapped in a red ribbon, and my uncle actually lit a match over it before my mom yelled that it was guacamole dip, so has anyone else had a dish mistaken for something else at a family dinner?
