That one Christmas when my uncle cornered me in the kitchen to explain the entire plot of a movie I'd already seen three times
He stood there for 45 minutes by the punch bowl, reenacting every scene with hand gestures, and I couldn't figure out how to slip away without being rude, so has anyone else been trapped by a relative who forgets they already told you something?

My grandma did that with the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy one Thanksgiving.

Holy crap, your grandma watched all three Lord of the Rings movies in one day? That is insane. She has more patience than I have hot water in my tank. I can barely sit through a single Lord of the Rings movie without needing a snack break and a bathroom trip every twenty minutes. How did she not fall asleep during the second one? I think my eyes would have just glazed over and given up by then. Your grandma is a legend, I don't know what else to say.
