That time my aunt asked about my divorce in front of the whole Thanksgiving table
Last November at my sister's place in Portland, my aunt Linda just blurts out during grace 'so is the divorce final yet?' while everyone's holding hands. I had only told my brother about it like two weeks earlier, didn't even know she knew. The whole room went dead silent and my dad changed the subject to the turkey being dry. Has anyone else had a family member just drop a bomb like that at a holiday dinner?

Read a story online once where a guy's mom announced she was marrying his ex-wife's brother at Christmas dinner. It just proves that some people honestly have zero filter when it comes to big family gatherings. Your aunt probably wanted to seem like she was being supportive but completely missed the timing of it all. At least your dad tried to save it with the turkey comment, that takes some skill.
