Used to bring store-bought pies to Thanksgiving to save time, then my aunt spent 10 minutes telling everyone how her homemade one was 'real food' and I just sat there with my plastic container sweating.

After she made that comment at my brother's house in Nashville last November, I started making my own pie crust from scratch the night before because I'd rather deal with flour on my counter than that burning shame again lol, has anyone else had a relative go full food snob on them?

Did your aunt actually taste your pie before running her mouth, or was she just assuming based on the packaging? I'm asking because my grandma once spent twenty minutes ranting about canned cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving, then admitted she'd never actually eaten it, she just thought the can ridges looked suspicious.

Nah she never tasted it, she was actually talking about the store bought crust.
