Guy took me to a rooftop bar and then tried to split the bill 50/50 on my birthday

Honestly, this was last June in Austin at this place called The Coconut Club. He specifically said he wanted to treat me for my 27th, then when the check came he pulled out his phone calculator and tallied my appetizer and two cocktails separately. I laughed and handed him a ten, then walked to the bathroom and ordered a Lyft home. Has anyone else had a date promise to pay and then pull a stunt like that mid-meal?

Oh man, that is brutal. My friend Sarah had a guy take her to this fancy Italian place for her birthday, like he literally said "it's my treat" when they made the reservation. Then at the end, he goes "you got the appetizer and the wine so that's $47.50 from you." She pulled out her card, paid her half, and then told the waiter to bring her a separate check for the dessert she ordered for herself. He sat there all quiet while she ate her tiramisu and then just got up and left.
