Heard a guy at the bar on 5th say he only does coffee dates, and it changed how I date
I was waiting for my friends at a place on 5th last Friday and this guy next to me told his buddy he stopped doing dinner dates because they cost $80 and you learn nothing new. He said coffee is $6 and you find out in 20 minutes if you actually like talking to them. I used to think dinner was the real test, but now I'm not so sure. Does anyone else do the quick coffee thing first, or am I just being cheap?

The 20 minute thing is so real though. I went on one coffee date that ran 15 mins and we both knew it was dead, but a dinner version of that same guy would've been 2 hours of me staring at my plate. Only thing I'd add is pick a spot with good food too, cuz if it's going well you can just stay and order a sandwich instead of cutting it off
