Hit 50 first dates last week and it hit me weird
I keep a little journal (yeah, I know) and counted back - 50 first dates over 8 years. The really weird milestone was realizing I've probably eaten 40+ bowls of mediocre pasta at the same Italian chain in three different cities. Has anyone else accidentally created a weird dating pattern like that?

Bro I read somewhere that the average person has 8 first dates before finding a match, so you're basically an expert at this point.

Ha, 8 first dates and all I got was this lousy T-shirt and a bunch of awkward stories to tell my therapist. Guess that makes me a professional at first impressions then!

Honestly, 8 first dates sounds more like a pattern than a coincidence. Maybe the problem isn't bad luck but how you're presenting yourself from the jump. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the "expert" title means you're actually doing something wrong on those dates?
