My date last Tuesday spent the whole time talking about his crypto gains

We met at a bar in Cincinnati, and within five minutes he was showing me charts on his phone and said, 'I'm up 30 grand, it's easy.' I just sat there nodding while he explained his 'system' for an hour, and we never ordered food. Has anyone else had a date where the person just monologued the entire time?

Honestly, the part about him saying "it's easy" is such a red flag. I read a whole article about how people who get into crypto sometimes tie their whole personality to it. Tbh, sitting there for an hour just listening to charts sounds awful, you didn't even get to eat. I'd be so annoyed.

My cousin got into crypto last year and it's all he talks about now. You're right, hannahw30, the "it's easy" line is a huge giveaway. I'd be mad about the food too, an hour of charts is brutal.

My brother did the same thing last summer and showed me charts for 45 minutes straight. Hannahw30 is right, it really does become their whole personality.
