That dating app "verified" profile took 6 months to actually get approved

I uploaded my driver's license and a selfie back in March to get that blue checkmark on Hinge. Fast forward to September and I'm still waiting with zero updates from their support team. Three tickets submitted, two generic bot replies, and one creepy dude who copied my profile pics. Has anyone else waited this long for basic verification on a dating app?

Delete the app and make a new account. Seriously, Hinge's support is useless and they don't escalate tickets. I had the same wait time and what finally worked was screenshotting my driver's license with a note saying "this was submitted 6 months ago" and tweeting at their customer support account. Got verified within 3 days after that. Also turn off the option that lets people save your photos from the app, it stops the creepers.

6 months is nothing, my buddy got verified on Bumble and it took him legit 14 months with zero updates until it randomly went through. The wait filters out people who are too impatient to care about security.
