Wasted $180 on a speed dating event in Chicago, total circus

I paid $180 for a 'premium' speed dating night last Friday and it was a total mess. They crammed 30 people into a tiny bar, we got 3 minutes per chat, and half the guys were just there to push their crypto side hustle. I made zero connections and the 'free' drinks were flat soda. Has anyone else dropped big cash on one of these events and ended up regretting it hard?
