Went back to the diner in Tulsa where I had my worst date and the booth is gone
I stopped at Mel's on 11th Street in Tulsa this past weekend for the first time in about 8 years. The booth where a date spent 20 minutes on her phone and then asked me to split her $14 salad is ripped out, and the whole place looks different now. It got me thinking about how dating itself has changed, everyone I know meets on apps now instead of getting set up by friends like back then. Does anyone else feel like the apps made the bad dates more frequent but somehow less memorable?
