Went on 3 dates last week and the last one ended with him asking to split a $9 appetizer
So last week was a weird one for me. I had three first dates lined up, which I never do, and I was kind of proud of myself for putting in the effort. Date one was fine, date two was fine, nothing special. But date three, this guy picks a spot in downtown Austin and orders us one small plate of dumplings for the table, then hands me the bill and asks if I want to cover my half plus tip. I'm not cheap, I always offer to split, but he didn't even ask, he just put his hand out and said 'that's $14 each with tax.' The whole thing was awkward and I paid and left fast. Has anyone else had a guy do the math at the table like that, or am I overreacting by not texting him back?
