Can we talk about the salad spinner my aunt got me in 2019 that I finally used last week
So my aunt Marge got me this salad spinner for my birthday back in 2019 and I shoved it in the back of a cabinet in my apartment in Columbus and honestly thought it was the dumbest gift ever. For almost four years I used it as a chip bowl holder, no joke. Then last week my roommate brought home a giant bag of wet kale from the farmers market and I was too lazy to dry it with paper towels, so I finally spun it and the thing actually worked great in like 10 seconds. Now I'm stuck in this weird spot where I have to admit my aunt was right, but I also wasted four years of counter space on a chip bowl. My sister says I should just text her and say thanks, but I feel like that opens the door to more kitchen gadgets at Christmas. Do you all just fake excitement for gifts that turn out useful later, or do you come clean that you hated it at first?
