Hot take: I gave my brother a $40 gas station gift card as a joke and he used it for 6 months
For his birthday in March I grabbed a $40 gift card from a Speedway near my place in Cleveland thinking it would get a laugh and then get tossed in a drawer. He texted me last month that he had been using it for coffee and snacks on his way to work the whole time and was actually sad it finally hit zero. Now I can't tell if I won at bad gifting or lost, so what's the weirdest cheap gift you gave that the person actually ended up loving?
