My aunt gave me a 'singing bass' wall plaque for Christmas 3 years in a row

First one was funny. Second one I regifted. Third one I smashed in the backyard with a hammer. Has anyone else gotten the exact same useless gift multiple times?

Three years in a row does seem like a lot, but smashing it with a hammer feels a little over the top. Maybe she just forgot she already gave you one, or thinks its a funny tradition now. Regifting the second one was probably the smart move, you could have just passed the third one along too and saved yourself the cleanup. Some people get socks or gift cards every year and dont make a whole production about it. A little annoyance is one thing, but a backyard smash session seems like you were looking for an excuse to blow off some steam.
