My aunt gave me a singing fish plaque for my birthday 3 years ago and it still hangs in my garage
I was at a garage sale last week and saw the exact same model of singing bass plaque that my aunt gave me for my 30th birthday, still in the box with the $2 price tag on it. That's when I realized she probably bought it at a garage sale herself, you know, like a regift from a stranger. Anyone else ever figure out their "thoughtful" gift was actually something someone else didn't want?

...so basically she regifted a $2 garage sale find and called it a birthday present. That's next level thrift store vibes right there. At least your singing fish is probably worth more as a conversation piece than the $2 she paid for it.

@oliver_wilson49 makes a solid point about the conversation piece angle. Did you ever ask your aunt about it directly, or did you just let it hang there in the garage?
