My aunt gave me a used can of soup for Christmas last year

I opened the gift in front of everyone at her house in Phoenix, and it was a dented can of tomato soup with a handwritten note that said "expired but still good." She told me she found it in her pantry and thought I'd appreciate it since I'm "always broke." I just smiled and said thanks, but my cousin was filming the whole thing for Instagram. Has anyone else gotten a straight up trash gift from a relative?

You're asking if nothing is better than a free can of soup, but isn't getting something you can actually use better than an empty promise?
