PSA: The time my aunt regifted me a candle from 2014... with a quarter inch of dust on it

So here's the debate, do you call someone out on a clearly regifted item or just smile and toss it later? My aunt gave me this candle at Christmas 2023, and I noticed the bottom had a faded sticker from a store that closed in 2016. I was at her house in Denver, and she acted like she picked it out special, but the dust on the lid was thick enough to write your name in. I ended up keeping quiet, but my cousin got the same thing and he made a joke about it to her face, and she got super defensive. Which side is better, sparing feelings or being honest? Anyone else get a gift that was clearly older than some kids in the room?

Did the dust make a little pyramid when you blew it off?

The three year old candle from Bath and Body Works that my mom regifted me actually smelled fine after I scraped the dust off (don't tell her I said that). But honestly, @the_logan, I'm on the side of just letting it go - why start a family feud over something you're gonna throw away anyway?
