Dropped $60 on a 'professional' uniform shirt and it shrank two sizes after one wash

Bought this supposedly high-end button-up for my front desk gig at the hotel chain in Denver, first wash and it fits like a crop top now. Has anyone else gotten burned by those 'performance fabric' work shirts that promise everything but fall apart?

Nah, sometimes the issue is your water temp or dryer setting.

I saw something on reddit about that "performance fabric" claim actually being a marketing gimmick for cheap polyester blends that just can't handle real washing. I read a post from someone who used to work at a uniform shop and he said those shirts are literally just $8 blanks with a $52 markup for the brand logo. If it shrank that bad first wash, I'd be asking the hotel's uniform supplier for a replacement or at least a refund.
