Figured out a trick to dodge pointless morning standups

I started saying 'still working on it from yesterday' every single day and my boss stopped asking me for updates after 2 weeks. Has anyone else found a way to cut those meetings short without getting in trouble?

That "still working on it" line works until your manager realizes you haven't shipped anything in weeks.

@the_lucas dropping demo videos is smart until you accidentally show a timestamp from three days ago and now everyone knows you've been re-rendering the same "progress" clip. That 'still working on it' line works like a charm though, just gotta make sure your commit log doesn't look like a ghost town. Maybe it's just me but I swear standups are just an excuse for managers to hear their own voice for 15 minutes.
