I finally found proof my old boss was lying about the shipping costs
I was organizing old invoices last night and stumbled on a FedEx rate sheet from 2019. My boss always told us overnight shipping to Denver cost $85 for a small box, but the actual rate was only $42. He pocketed the difference for three years before I left that place. Has anyone else caught their manager padding expenses like that?

Man that's wild but honestly it's just how some people operate once they figure out nobody's watching the small stuff.

Honestly, did he think nobody would ever check a rate sheet? Sounds like your old boss was running his own personal little side hustle right there in the shipping closet. Guess he figured "small box, small brain, big money" was a solid business model for him. Ngl, it's kind of impressive he kept that going for three years before someone finally caught on. Hope he at least used the extra cash to buy himself a nice lunch or something, since that's probably all it was worth.
