Pro tip: don't let your boss 'help' you on a deadline if you want it done right
So we had this big logo redesign due last Friday for a client downtown and my manager said he'd 'jump in and assist' since I was swamped. Big mistake. He completely ignored the brand guide the client handed us and went with some trendy gradient mess instead. I spent 4 hours after he left undoing all his edits and redoing them the right way, while the clock was ticking. Has anyone else had a boss who 'helps' but just makes double the work?

Reminds me of people who "help" fold laundry by refolding everything their own way. Same pattern plays out everywhere, not just at work. Some folks just can't resist putting their stamp on something even when the instructions are clear.

Hate when people do that with the dishes too...

Oh man, this one hits way too close to home. I mean, I'm definitely that person with the dishes sometimes and it's like I can't help myself. My wife will load the dishwasher and then I come along and rearrange everything because I think I know better, which is just ridiculous. It's like my brain goes "oh, these plates don't fit perfectly? Time to fix it!" even though nobody asked me to. Maybe it's just me, but I think I might be the problem here.
