Spent 3 hours tracking down a missing file that was literally on my desktop the whole time
My boss gave me a 'urgent' report to finish by noon yesterday. I spent over 2 hours digging through shared drives and email attachments trying to find the source data. Turns out I saved it to my desktop last Friday and forgot about it. I could have had the whole thing done in 20 minutes if I just looked at my own screen. My coworker saw me slamming my keyboard and asked if I needed a coffee break. Has anyone else wasted a whole morning searching for something that was right in front of them?
