Did you actually think color coding would work out?

I used to think color coding was just common sense. Back in the early days of the internet, it felt like a simple way to organize everything by topic or importance. But watching how it actually played out in real life, especially in those big community forums or work chats, really changed my mind. People start arguing over what color means what, and it just creates more confusion than it solves. The whole system falls apart fast when everyone has a different idea of what shade equals urgent or casual. It sounded good on paper, but the execution just never matched the theory.

Oh come on, that's ridiculous! @cameron538 I get what you're saying about color coding being a mess, but this is a break room fridge not a project deadline. Next time just label a shelf for each person's lunch or do a simple clean out day once a week. If your boss is that pressed about fridge organization, ask them to buy those little wire baskets or just stick to basic categories like drinks, leftovers, and condiments. You're not trying to map out a color wheel, you're trying to stop someone from stealing your yogurt.
