Unpopular take: quitting without notice saved my career in Tulsa

Everyone says burn the bridge, but I walked out on a shop manager who screamed at me over a $12 part and landed a better gig 3 days later. Has anyone else found that the 'always give 2 weeks' advice just keeps you stuck with toxic bosses?

Honestly the last time I tried to give two weeks notice my boss guilt-tripped me so hard I almost stayed just to prove I wasn't a bad person lol. Good on you for just dipping, I wish I had that spine instead of crying in the parking lot for an hour after quitting.
