Blew $140 on a 'smart' bird feeder that just filmed squirrels for 2 months
Bought one of those camera feeders last spring cuz I wanted to see rare birds in my backyard in Portland. Turns out the motion sensor only triggers on the seed tray, and my local squirrels figured out how to wiggle the perch so it filmed their faces eating for like 6 hours a day. I got maybe 4 actual chickadee clips total, and the subscription for cloud storage was another $8 a month. Has anyone else fallen for backyard tech that just ends up being a wildlife reality show?
