Gave $50 to a guy who said he'd clean my gutters and never saw him again
A guy in a pickup flagged me down last spring, said he had leftover supplies from a job a few blocks over and could do my gutters for cheap. Handed him $50 cash as a deposit and he drove off saying he'd be back in 20 minutes. That was eight months ago. Anyone else ever fall for the 'leftover supplies' hustle?

Fifty bucks is like a meal and a six pack, not exactly life changing money lol. If someone told me they lost fifty bucks to a scam I'd probably ask what they were thinking rather than acting like their life was ruined. Play stupid games win stupid prizes and all that, but it's not like he took your credit card info or your social security number. You paid a dumb tax, move on.
