Hot take: I argued that wireless earbuds were pointless and wired ones were superior for years

Back in 2019, I was dead set that my $15 wired earbuds from the drugstore were all anyone needed. I told my coworker Sam that Bluetooth earbuds were just another way to lose $80 and deal with charging issues. Then I got a pair of cheap wireless ones for my birthday (reluctantly) and realized I was constantly getting tangled up in my pocket cord. Within a week I gave away my wired stash and now I can't go back. Has anyone else held out on a tech change way longer than they should have?

Dude, same here! I used to swear by my wired earbuds and thought wireless was just a gimmick. Then I got a pair on sale and now I can't believe I ever put up with that cord yanking my phone off the table. Bluetooth is the way to go for sure.

@the_charlie It's funny how once you switch, you can't go back. That's just how progress works in every part of life, we get used to something better and forget how we ever dealt with the old junk. Same thing happened when I stopped using a paper map and just let my phone tell me where to go, now I get annoyed if I have to actually read a sign.
