PSA: I put $300 into a fancy kitchen faucet and it was a complete waste
Back in 2021 I bought this expensive pull-down faucet from a big brand because I thought it would make washing dishes easier. The sprayer head broke after 8 months and the replacement part cost almost as much as a whole new regular faucet. I ended up replacing it with a $65 basic model from the hardware store that's been running fine for 2 years now. Has anyone else gotten burned by overpaying for kitchen fixtures?

Yeah, "fancy name and a shiny box" really sums it up. My expensive faucet failed way faster than the cheap one too, so I feel your pain.

Totally agree with you on this one man... I dropped almost four hundred bucks on one of those high end faucets with all the bells and whistles and the magnetic docking thingy stopped working after maybe a year. The water pressure was never that great from the start anyway and then the finish started peeling off around the base where it meets the sink. I finally got sick of it and put in a seventy dollar model from the local hardware store and it's been solid as a rock for over three years now no problems at all. Feels like you're paying for a fancy name and a shiny box half the time with those expensive fixtures. Never again for me either.
