Thought I was saving money buying cheap trash bags for 5 years
I used to buy the 13 gallon bags from the dollar store because they were $3 for a box. Then my neighbor told me he uses Glad ForceFlex and they never rip so he can actually fit a full bag. I finally tried a box last week and I threw away twice as much before taking it out. Anyone else waste years avoiding the obvious upgrade?

I mean you're right about the upgrade but I gotta say something here - those bags aren't really 13 gallons. I checked one time cause I was curious and they're more like 10 or 11 gallons if you actually measure them. So you're not just getting worse quality, you're getting less bag too. The ForceFlex ones are actually 13 gallons which is partly why you can fit more stuff in them. The dollar store ones are basically false advertising if you think about it. Anyway glad you finally saw the light, cheap bags are such a scam.

Is it really that deep though? Like, are we really out here measuring trash bags with a tape measure now? I get that you want what you pay for, but we're talking about like two bucks worth of plastic that's gonna end up in a dumpster by the end of the week. If the bag holds your banana peels and coffee grounds without splitting, does it really matter if it's 10 or 13 gallons on the label? Seems like overthinking it to me.
