Used to think all apartments needed was fresh paint between tenants
After a mold issue popped up at a unit on Maple Street, I realized you gotta actually scrub the vents and check the AC drip pans. Now I walk the whole place with a flashlight before turning the keys over. Anyone else learn a maintenance lesson the hard way?

Gotta disagree with @loganl22 on this one. Honestly I think checking vents and drip pans is good, but focusing too much on mold makes you miss bigger stuff like old wiring or bad plumbing. Respect the extra work, just not my way of doing it.

Man, same here - found black mold behind a fridge and now I check everything twice before signing off.
