Made my first sourdough starter from scratch, it bubbled over the jar at 3 AM

I left it on the counter thinking it needed more time and woke up to goo all over my kitchen tiles. Anyone else have a starter that acts like a science experiment gone rogue?

Honestly, I get why you'd think that, but I kind of see it differently. Plenty of people name their phones or computers something silly and they work just fine. Like my friend named her Roomba "Mildred" and that thing still bumps into walls every day. Maybe it's just me, but I think the name thing is more of a fun coincidence than anything real. The angry ones probably came out of the box that way because of a glitch or something. I mean, we all want a simple explanation for weird tech problems, but sometimes it's just random.
