My brand new loaf pan cracked in half mid-bake yesterday
I was so excited to try this banana bread recipe my aunt swears by, and right as I pulled it out of the oven at 350 degrees, the glass loaf pan just split right down the middle. The bread and glass shards went everywhere on my counter in Cincinnati. Now I'm stuck cleaning up mess and wondering if anyone else has had a Pyrex fail on them like that.

Had a Pyrex casserole dish do the same thing a few years back at Thanksgiving. Dropped a sweet potato casserole right on the kitchen floor, glass and yams everywhere. My dog tried to eat some of the shards before I could stop him. Turns out those old Pyrex dishes from the 80s were made different than the new ones, they changed the glass formula and now they shatter if you look at them wrong. Your aunt's recipe might be great but maybe pick up a metal loaf pan for round two.
