Tried chilling my cookie dough for 24 hours. Night and day difference.

Always made cookies straight from mixing. Got flat, greasy messes. Friend at work said chill overnight. Did it last Saturday. Round, thick cookies. Better flavor too. Took 30 minutes to bake a full batch instead of 10. Anyone else see a huge change with chill time?

Chilling mine for two hours did the trick.

Night and day difference" feels a little strong for cookies. I tried the overnight chill thing and they were definitely better, but we're still talking about baked dough here. They were rounder and didn't spread as much, but I wouldn't say my life changed or anything.

lol you're not wrong but I feel like this is just how people talk about cooking stuff online now. Everything has to be LIFE CHANGING or a GAME CHANGER or NIGHT AND DAY. It's like nobody can just say "hey this helps a little" without hyping it up to 11. Same thing happens with meal prep or freezing stuff or whatever. I bet if you told someone that chilling your cookie dough makes them slightly more round and neat they'd be like oh cool but since you said NIGHT AND DAY they're expecting cookies that cure their depression or something lmao.
