I finally got a wire transfer sorted out after 8 days of back and forth

I needed to send $2,400 to a contractor in Phoenix for some urgent foundation work. First my bank held it for 3 days because the name on the account was slightly off, then the receiving bank wanted extra verification forms. By the time both banks actually communicated properly, I had called customer service about 7 times. Has anyone else had to deal with a simple transfer turning into a week long ordeal for no good reason?

8 days" sounds fishy honestly, I wonder if that contractor was playing games with the timing.

I get what you're saying @kai914, but "playing games" seems a bit dramatic. Eight days is a long time for any job, sure, but contractors get busy or have supply chain issues all the time. I've seen folks freak out over a week delay when really the weather just didn't cooperate. Is it really worth getting worked up over unless they ghosted you completely?
