Remember when you had to actually go inside the bank for everything?
Honestly, last week I needed a certified check for a car down payment. I just tapped a few buttons in my app and picked it up at the drive-thru. Ngl, three years ago I had to take a full lunch break to go stand in line at the First National branch in Springfield for the same thing. It's wild how much time that saves now. Anyone else miss the old deposit slips but not the wait?

Heard my buddy had to get a medallion signature guarantee last month, which is like a certified check on steroids. He said his bank's website made him book an appointment online, but then he still had to go in and talk to two managers who acted like they were handling state secrets. Took him most of the afternoon. I mean, some stuff is easier now, but other things feel like they added more steps just to seem fancy.

Sounds like they've perfected the art of making simple things feel important. My bank treats a basic wire transfer like we're moving the crown jewels. All that theater just makes you wonder who they're really trying to impress.

Exactly, like loganl22 said, it's all theater now.
