That moment my card got declined at a family reunion BBQ

I was at my cousin's place in Portland last summer, grabbing a tray of burgers from the local market. Swiped my debit card and it just kept saying 'declined' - turned out my bank flagged it as fraud because I'd bought gas 20 miles away an hour earlier. Had to call them from the parking lot while my aunt stood there with a confused look, and they unlocked it in like 5 minutes. Anyone else had their bank lock them out over something dumb like that?

Yo, that's such a classic bank move. I had mine lock me up once for buying coffee at a Starbucks I'd been to like fifty times before, just because it was in a different city. Had to stand in the drive-thru line holding up everyone while I proved I was actually me on the phone.

Wait, they made you hold up the whole drive-thru line? That's insane.

Oh man, that exact thing happened to me with a gas station purchase once.
