I bet most people don't realize that the minimum payment due is not the same as the statement balance, and you can actually carry a tiny balance over to avoid paying interest on new purchases if you time it right. It depends on your card's grace period though, some banks are sneaky and calculate interest daily so even a $1 leftover balance screws you on the whole thing.
