Tried digital-only banking with that Chime card for 6 months and then accidentally deposited a $500 check twice by mistake
The app flagged the duplicate and froze my entire account for a week with no human to call, so I learned the hard way that having zero physical branches means you better hope nothing ever goes wrong, has anyone else gotten stuck like that with a neobank?

Honestly used to think people just didn't know how to use Chime right. But seeing stories like this makes me realize it's not always the user's fault. Two weeks without your whole paycheck is insane, especially when customer support just goes silent. That would mess up anyone's bills and rent real bad. Makes me worried about relying on apps like this for important stuff. Definitely changed my view on how safe these online banks really are.
