Wasted $200 on a premium budgeting app that did nothing a spreadsheet can't do

Signed up for YNAB last year after all the hype in this sub, spent $200 for the annual subscription. After 4 months of fighting their weird credit card system, I realized I could track the exact same stuff in Google Sheets for free. Anyone else ditch the fancy apps and go back to plain spreadsheets?

Ha, fair enough but I gotta respectfully disagree. The credit card system took me a few weeks to get used to as well, but once it clicked I actually found it way more helpful than a spreadsheet for tracking exactly where my money goes. Your mileage may vary of course, but for me the automatic categorization and rollover budgets saved enough time to justify the cost.

Wait, do I have to actually understand money to use it?

Is it really that hard to just, you know, learn how money works though...?
