Zelle vs Venmo: my landlord said one word that made me switch
I split rent with a roommate and we tried Venmo for a year, then my landlord in Sacramento said he only checks one account and it wasn't the one we were using. Switching to Zelle meant the money hit his account in under a minute instead of the 1-2 day wait Venmo kept giving us, and he stopped texting me every month asking where rent was. But Zelle has basically zero buyer protection, so I get why some folks say Venmo or PayPal is safer for sending money to people you don't know. Has anyone here dealt with a landlord or small business that only takes one of these apps, and did you push back or just switch?
