Had to pick between calling the cops on my neighbor or handling it myself after his dog bit my kid last Saturday
I chose to call the cops and ended up in a 3-hour mediation where the whole block found out about his illegal breeding setup, has anyone else had a neighborhood dispute blow up way worse than you expected?

I saw a news clip about a guy in Texas who called the cops on a barking dog and found out his neighbor was running a full kennel with 40 dogs in the backyard. That mediation sounds like a nightmare but at least the breeding setup got shut down.

Oh geez, I don't think that was a full 40 dogs in a backyard kennel. Most city codes wouldn't let that many dogs be kept without a special permit, and the news likely exaggerated the number for shock value. Usually these cases involve more like 15-20 dogs which is still way too many, but not a full blown breeding operation with 40.
