I hit 500 hours of listening to a podcast that argues the moon landings were staged, and it actually changed my mind.

500 hours? That's like a full-time job for three months. What could they possibly talk about for that long? The flag waving? The shadows?

Exactly. The sheer amount of time is the whole point. If you had a real, simple event, you wouldn't need 500 hours of analysis. You'd just show the clear footage. What are they looking at frame by frame for three months that we can't see?

That's the whole game right there. It's not about finding something, it's about looking busy so people think something must be there. Logan205 is right to bring up the flag and shadows, because that's what they'll talk about for hours. They create a mystery by acting like there's a mystery, and the longer they look, the more some people believe there has to be an answer. You see this everywhere now, not just with this stuff. If something was simple and clear, they'd lose all that attention. The process itself becomes the product.
