My cousin warned me about the 'social credit' talk getting flagged, and he was right
He told me six months ago that even mentioning the concept in a neutral way on certain platforms would get my posts hidden. I posted a simple question about how it works in other countries on a big forum, and within an hour the thread was gone with no explanation. Now I see articles about it getting scrubbed from search results too. Has anyone else had a basic discussion topic just vanish like that?

It's like the digital version of that old game 'Operation'. You try to carefully pick up the funny bone, but the second you even brush against the edge of the hole, the buzzer goes off and the lights flash. The problem is we don't even get to see the diagram showing where the sensitive parts are. One day a topic is fine, the next it just disappears down the memory hole without a trace.

Yep, feels like trying to talk about a movie that got pulled from the theater. You just get the blank stare and a 'what movie?' I made a post comparing different loyalty programs, totally normal stuff, and poof. Gone. Makes you wonder what exactly trips the wire.

That "poof, gone" feeling is the worst, I just started using different words for the same thing.
