Unpopular opinion: I got banned from the library for a week over a history book
I checked out a book on a controversial historical figure last Tuesday, and the librarian actually called my house to say it was 'inappropriate material'. My mom just laughed and said 'good find'. Anyone else had a normal book cause a weird overreaction?

Watching people try to block information always backfires spectacularly.

Remember that whole thing with the library book bans last year. It just made the list of challenged books a bestseller list instead. Trying to hide something gives it this weird power, like forbidden fruit. People will go out of their way to find what you're trying to keep quiet. It's a lesson nobody seems to learn, no matter how many times we see it happen.
