Found a way to make clipper blades last twice as long with a simple trick
I was burning through $30 clipper blades every few months until I started wiping them down with a dry cloth after every cut to remove the hair oil buildup. Has anyone else tried this or do you have a better method for keeping blades sharp longer?

Yeah, that works! A dab of mineral oil right after cleaning helps too.

Hard disagree. Oil traps dirt. Gets under the finish if you're not careful. Plain soap and water is all you need.

Ngl, Piper's not wrong about the risk, but if you're careful and just use a tiny bit, it really helps keep the wood from drying out. I've been doing it on my stuff for years with no issues.
