Rant: I used to fight with neckline cleanup for way too long
Back when I started cutting hair, cleaning up the neckline after a haircut was a real pain, you know? I'd use a straight razor and shaving cream, but it always took forever and sometimes left little nicks. About three years ago, I was working in a shop in Tacoma and saw an older barber just use his clippers with no guard and a bit of talc powder. He dusted the neck, went against the grain with the corner of the blade, and it was done in like ten seconds, super clean. I tried it the next day on a regular client and it worked perfectly. Now I keep a small brush and some Clubman talc right next to my station. It saves me a good five minutes per cut, easy. Has anyone else picked up a simple trick like that from watching someone else work?

My buddy learned that trick from a guy in Seattle.

So you trust some random guy's trick without testing it yourself first? I tried that Seattle method last year and it totally messed up my project. You gotta check if it works for your specific tools before going all in. Why risk it when you can find a better way that's actually proven?
