Rough Saturday where I messed up 3 haircuts in a row

This past Saturday was just a disaster from start to finish. First appointment was a kid who wouldn't sit still, and I ended up with a weird bald patch near his crown. Then a older guy wanted a skin fade but his hairline was all over the place, and I took off way too much on the left side. Third one was a simple trim for a regular, but my clipper blade slipped and left a dent in the top of his head. I spent the whole day apologizing and comping services, lost like $70 in tips and discounts. Has anyone else had a day where nothing goes right and you just want to shut down early?

Man my first year behind the chair I had a Saturday that made me want to throw my clippers in the trash. I was doing a buzz cut on this dude and my guard just popped off mid-pass, left a clean strip right down the middle of his head. He was cool about it but I had to turn it into a full shave and he walked out looking like a cue ball. Then my next client brought in a picture of a textured crop and I ended up giving her a mullet by accident because I was so rattled. I totally get that feeling of wanting to lock the doors and hide in the back room.

Oh man @torres.sage that buzz cut story gave me flashbacks because I had almost the exact same thing happen. I was doing a simple fade on this young guy and my clipper attachment just flew off and carved a canyon right through his fade line. I felt so bad I gave him the whole cut for free and he actually came back the next week and told me his girlfriend liked the bald look better. But honestly that whole Saturday sounds like a nightmare, I've had days where I just wanted to hand everyone their money back and go sit in my truck for twenty minutes. It's like when it rains it pours and you start second guessing every move you make with the scissors.
