Spent 4 hours on a clipper that just needed the blade re-seated
Had a Wahl Magic Clip acting up on me last Tuesday, rattling and chewing through a #1 guard like it was nothing. I tore the whole thing apart, cleaned every piece, swapped the armature, even ordered a new switch from a guy in Fresno. Turned out the blade was just sitting a hair off after I dropped it two weeks back, snapped it back in and it purrs like new. Anyone else ever rebuild half a clipper for a 30 second fix?
You really went full repair shop on a blade that just wanted to snuggle back into place? That's the classic move right there, we've all been there thinking it's the motor or the switch or some mystery gremlin inside the housing. I once spent a whole evening on a car that wouldn't start and it was just a loose battery cable, felt like a genius and an idiot at the same time. At least you got a clean clipper and a new switch out of it, so it wasn't a total loss. The rattle probably freaked you out more than the actual problem, those blades are sneaky when they shift a hair.
