Spent an hour trying to fix a stubborn cowlick on a kid's haircut yesterday
This eight-year-old had hair that just would not lay flat in the back, no matter how much I tapered or texturized. I finally got it to sit right after thinning it out way more than I normally would and using a stronger hold product. What's your go-to method for dealing with a really persistent cowlick?

Just glue the kid's hat on.

Seriously, glue? What kind of glue are you even talking about here? That stuff can really mess up a hat, or worse, get in the kid's hair.

That hat idea is a solid backup plan. I've had a few clients where the only real fix was cutting with the cowlick's natural growth pattern, not against it. Sometimes you just have to work with what the hair wants to do.
